Quick ComicCon question

A buddy asked me to go on Sunday, and having never gone before, I was wondering: is it worth bringing a camera? My current camera is rather large and heavy, so I'd rather not drag around if I'm not going to use it, and I wonder if there's going to be any pictures worth taking.

There will be celebrities and cool costume sand that sort of thing. If you don't want to lug your camera around than you may want to bring some disposable cameras just incase you see anything you want to take a picture of.

if your camera suffers in situations with poor lighting and/or a lot of movement, don't bring it.

it is nice to be able to take pictures of yourself and others with other people at the con, but if somebody in your group is planning on bringing something smaller and lighter, let them be the dedicated camera guy. You're probably going to be on your feet quite a bit, so it's nice to be able to travel as light as possible.

I recommend the disposable camera thing too.

The pictures aren't HD quality, but good enough for keepsakes and you'll spend about $7.00 a piece on them.

Thanks, I'll probably end up lugging my camera around. The disposable camera is a great idea, but I really dislike the things. Ah, if only I had the money for a Leica rangefinder :tear: Well, if I get any good pics I'll put'em up in the cosplay thread.

I took 2 disposable cameras with me to a comic con once and it seemed pretty bright so I didn't bother turning the flash on. Not a single picture came out. It could have been I bought to cheap of a disposable camera or if it was the lack of the flash but I am leaning towards the lack of flash.
