Quick Critique Requests

Hey so I was gonna post this just for me but then figured maybe other people can benefit from it. Post a sketch/drawing/artistic thing here if you're looking for other artists to give a quick impression on it, and/or offer that person a critique. :0

----------

So I'm working from a few different references here in trying to get is sketch put together. Ignoring the cloth physics for now, since this is the most basic of sketches, what do you think? Mostly I'm looking for input on the anatomy, including where the second arm should rightly be if outstretched in the same manner. If someone has a hot sports opinion, it would also be helpful if you could edit this image with a red sketch and show the right arm.

Thanks in advance.

ETA: I can upload a bigger version if necessary.

I don't think you would see the right arm, actually.

Other comments: the face is a bit crooked and the left hand is a little large. Other than that, I think it looks pretty good!

Her face looks jacked. You either need to fix her eyes (if her head is straight, but tilted back) or her mouth (if her head is tilted back and to the side). Actually, you might need to fix the mouth, too, if the line of her shoulders is giving the perspective you want.

Looks to me like her arm is pulled back behind her? If so, her right arm would be foreshortened to basically nothing.

MINDDETECTIVE! *shakes fist*

Thanks guys. Yeah I was just wondering if the foreshortening would eliminate the arm completely or have like two fingertips sticking out somewhere.

And yeah the more I look at it the more it looks like that face is jacked. It's one of those things I realize slowly over time but I kinda wanna just keep workin' on this, rather than wait for The Cold Light Of Morning.

Thanks again. :)

A bit of an edit, and a more detailed screenshot:

Adjusted the eyes somewhat, completely redid the mouth.

Right eye still too high. Pretend there's a square grid on her face, aligned to her mouth, and you'll see what I mean.

I guess long noses are your thing, but I might suggest moving the bottom of the nose up a bit.

Cool, I'll play around with it a bit later. :)

Lowered the right eye and fixed the forehead/eyebrows. Raised the nose a touch. Added to the right "fringe" of hair. Thanks for the tips drifter I think it's looking better for sure. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1346181555][/DOUBLEPOST]For Allen who is Quiet and Bumble the Boy Wonder, my working title is "The Voluminous Hair of a Temptress". :awesome:

That's the best face for sure.

I'm in no way an artist, so I don't know if I can offer a lot of advice, but you might want to draw her legs underneath the dress just as reference. Something about the front side of the dress looks off.

I might. Honestly, for the final purpose of the sketch, only above the waste needs to be accurate.

For the original pic, the straight line from bottom of boob to foot is a little off. There should at least be a hint of knee, thigh, hip, or belly.

The thing that's throwing the face off is that the nose if forming a tangent off the cheek. The tip of the nose merges with the outline of the face, making it looked squished and distorted. Twist the head a bit one way or the other - either showing the tip of the nose passing the outline of the face, or turn the face more towards the viewer, making the outline of the face well defined.
