They've got most of the old Toonami series. (original dubs, too, as is the case with Dragon Ball Z)

You can honestly blame Funimation for the fall of Toonami. They kept asking ridiculously high prices of Cartoon Network, which was in the middle of an executive shift at the time, which pushed the newer guys away. In the end, Cartoon Network asked for a higher cut of the money from Funimation's merchandise (which was fair, because Cartoon Network was the only network airing their shows), due to the low rates they were getting from Naruto (which was in the infamous 50+ episodes of filler point). Funimation refused and the relationship was poisoned.

It's also why William's Street is only allowed to show Anime one night a week now, and why the only Funimation show is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I think everything else is Aniplex.

It's also partly because of the new executives that got shipped in from a network that Ted Turner bought. They had no experience with animation and didn't understand why they were paying such high prices for shoddy dubs (which I agree with, One Piece was shit once they got done with it). However, they also had a problem with paying to develop their own animation. In fact, the only thing they really understood how to do was make low budget, live action shows.

This is why we received the failed experiment of CNReal, which they insist keeping on the air despite it's overall low ratings. Instead, they've cancelled the PHENOMENAL Symbionic Titan, which was better than most of their original stuff. This is why they lost Tartakovksy to Sony Pictures Animation.

Honestly, Ted needs to fire everyone at that god damn network.

Well, it's less cancelled and more didn't order any more episodes. Personally, I thought the show would have done better as a late-night, Adult Swim show anyway. It's pretty clear that Tartakovsky was pushing the envelope on what he could do with his rating, considering all the stuff Kimmy and Octus got up to.

There's a lot of desire for a second season, but right now CN isn't biting. Maybe if it gets some nice DVD sales...

wow, I have been looking for stuff to watch at night but there is never any good programing in the anime/mature cartoon that is not family guy-futurama-southpark.
I really miss the old days of adult swim, now its all shite programing low budget shows that look like their were made to ride a tsunami of crap.
