This is a weird request to be making on the internet, much less as international a board as Halforums seems to be, but I figured I'd try and help a friend out. It mostly goes out to the Canadians on the board, but you never know who has connections where.
I have a friend who two years finished his Millwright program at a local college. He's been trying to find a place to get his journeyman ever since. He's currently in Alberta, living with one of his uncles, looking for a job, but it's not going anywhere.
If anyone has any info about companies up there hiring, could you shoot me a PM or something? Or, for that matter, companies hiring elsewhere. I'm not sure, but he might go to the ends of the earth to find a job at this point, considering he's already gone as far as Alberta, leaving family, a girlfriend, and pretty much every friend he's ever known behind.
Again, I know it might be a long shot, but it breaks my heart that he's gone so long without finding anything, especially when he was so excited about the Millwright program when he went in.
