Revenge of the 10pm dramas!

The results are in, and the Jay Leno show is cratering. Especially in that coveted 18-49 demographic advertisers love.

I was afraid at the outset that if his show was a success, other networks would follow suit and wipe out the scripted 10pm drama as we know it. The numbers put some of those fears to rest. No one is likely to try to copy Jay's show with ratings like this.

Honestly I felt it was kind of a dick move to give Conan the Tonight Show and then slap Jay on right in front of him again. I guess in the end it didn't matter though.

I thought NBC pretty much told him he was done with the Tonight Show, that they wanted to bring in Conan. The 10pm show was a way to make it seem like everything was cool between the two parties.
