You may not recognize the name, but I'm sure you recognize his work:
I've been amazed by his work (who wouldn't be?) but sadly it looks like we won't get to see any more examples of his creativity. Reports are not 100% certain, but there's plenty of circumstancial evidence to back up some of the early claims (his site is down, ebay username has been term'd).
