A huge influence on the comic book industry passed away today. Infantino most famously co-created and designed the Barry Allen Flash, which arguably helped kick off the Silver Age of comic books.
He was also instrumental in bringing Jack Kirby over to DC, which launched The Fourth World comics, giving us amazing characters like Darkseid.
A great loss to the industry, but leaving with an amazing legacy.

I know next to nothing about comics and even I know this guy. Shitty.

Covar
I almost drove to a con in Florida last year just for the opportunity to meet/see him. Sadly he canceled do to health issues.
He will be missed. To call him one of the greatest comic artists of all time is no exaggeration.
One of his most famous covers, and created as a challenge for Gardner Fox and Julie Schwartz.

Definitely a classic. I just discovered this cover, which I'd never seen before:
I mean, just look at the detail in that. There's an after-image of Flash in nearly every spot in that stream. I'd love to see a modern artist do that.

Greg Land could do it. It would look exactly like that one, but he'd pull it off.
