I'm with Tress. Never found RUSH appealing. However, I acknowledge their impact on the music scene and understand how it could be seen as a Hall of Fame contender.

I think one of the strikes against Rush is that there are no bands that emulate their style/sound. Hell there aren't many bands that could even do successful covers of their material.
Also like the article says... they never were the cool kids.

In the words of Matt Stone, " Even if you hated RUSH in the 80's, you have to give it up for them now... otherwise you're just being a dickhead."

Rufus with Chaka Khan makes it before Rush? That's not even in the realm of wrong, that's a fucking travesty of idiocy. And I'm not even a Rush fan.

Its okay I can understand the lack of love for RUSH, although I've been a fan since forever my first album was 2112, they do require a rather high level of intelligence to enjoy.

That Rio audience was crazy. They sang along to YYZ. I repeat... they sang along to an instrumental song.
I have been to many a RUSH show but I have never seen a crowd like that.
