I never thought of it this way before. Sure, our heroes always set out to save the kingdom or republic from Sauron, the Blight, or a Sith Lord. But we ended up cleaning out every single peasant who came our way. Our rogue characters would pickpocket them on the street or break into their homes and lockpick the family safe. Our fighters would break down the door and smash everything in order to get a few coppers underneath the couch cushions. I feel guilty now.
