Samsung Galaxy S and MP3 files

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S last year when I re-signed with Virgin Mobile. I can't use it as a phone down here in the states, but it still connects to WiFi, works as a music player, etc.

Unfortunately, it's not even working as a music player right now. Every time that I plugged the phone into my computer via a USB - to upload new music or other files - the Winamp program on the phone would clear all of my playlists, having to fill them again by scratch.

Now, it's not reading ANY of the mp3 files on the SD card. I tried two other music player programs and the same issue is occuring.

Any ideas?

Shut the phone off, remove the sd card, and put it back in. This should force the phone to rebuild the list of mp3's and other media on the card.

Also, plug the sd card into your computer (or connect the phone to your computer and choose disk drive mode) to see if you can play the files on your pc from the card.
