I find it highly ironic. So they DO have faults. Also, have you run across his woods in Google earth? Doesn't appear that steep.

from what I've briefly read, there have been reports of Segways abruptly changing direction on a user, usually when a battery is low or under stress. I'm presuming this may have happened while he was on the uneven terrain, and it may have pitched him down the cliff.
Either that or it was corporate espionage in the highest degree!
