Yup, it seems that former Senator Ensign, who resigned the day before he was set to come before the bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee, hasn't seen the end of troubles connected to his affair.
It appears that they voted unanimously to turn over all the information they gathered with the recommendation that he be investigated by the DOJ.
Honestly, I could care less about the affair stuff. Senators sleep around, and no one should be surprised by that. It's this that doesn't sit well with me.

That there is just head slap worthy. The committee said evidence showed that Ensign:
• Aided and abetted violations of a one-year ban on former employees lobbying the Senate.
• Conspired to violate that restriction.
• Made false statements to the FEC.
• Violated campaign-finance laws.
• Obstructed the ethics committee's preliminary inquiry.
