Coding Horror

This blog is by one of the founders of StackExchange, Jeff Atwood. It's a candid salad of coding, net, productivity, and general computer commentary. He has an interesting style that acknowledges but doesn't acquiesce to the norm. E.g. I like his reaction to the iPad 3 ("I bought 2...reviewers saying that all they did was improve the display are stupid. It's a tablet. It's all display by definition!")

Temple of the Seven Golden Camels

An oddly named art blog from a storyboard artist in Hollywood. I think he was the storyboard lead on Tangled. Lots of general art advice, especially concerning layout and composition.

MightyGodKing

I don't always agree with him, but the fact that he rails against Toronto's mayor, Rob Ford, wins big in my book. Also, he's a Whovian and comic book nerd. I'm not as big a fan of the blog since he started bringing others into the fold like Jim Smith and John Seavy. I like the idea of a blog staying with the one person. That said, at least the new contributors are along the same writing style and wavelength.

Scott Keith's Blog of DOOM

Mostly a wrestling blog, I've been following Scott Keith's work for years. In fact, his recaps of RAW and PPVs are pretty much the only way I bother to keep up with wrestling these days. He has a lot of clever one-liners for more than just wrestling. I still use his line when he described a compilation of cage matches as, "So manly, you'll need a shot of estrogen."

That said, the contributors he brought on are...not really all that great. They don't have that same wit or writing style. So I'll usually only pay attention to posts Scott himself makes.
