Shopping for a Headset/Mic

After close to 6 years.... it looks like the mic of my Sennheiser PC350 has stopped working.

Started a little window shopping, checking out what is new.

Price Range : $100-300

I want durability and quality - been with mediocre headsets before... buying top notch shit is the way to go.

Primary interests are comfort and microphone. I never had a 5.1 or even a 7.1 headset nor a wireless headset. I seen there are many available.

Wireless always scares me... since they can be pretty damn finicky and more importantly have shitty battery life... nothing would give me more disdain than having to stop playing a game so that my headset can change for a few hours.

Any recommendations?

No, but whatever you buy, buy two and send me one.

I got my eyes on the new A50 headset from Astro. It's such a beast. Going to be released in a few weeks.

I use a $30 logitech headset... Seems to work pretty well.

I'm usually playing with people who are in the room or on Skype, so mike-and-speakers arrangement has always been good enough.
