Wow. A single person impersonate 6 other and taken the test for them.

why is this in political Chibi? Well, mainly because to me, this is no different that teaching the test to student. It is essentially giving "answer" to pass those silly test (IMO)

They should have independent 3rd party testing center like in Taiwan and China. If you pass, you can go to the next grade level, fail, you stay behind.

This is stupid. It's the SAT. Everyone involved needs to chill out.

IMO the offenders need to be kicked out of college and forced to retest, or not allowed to retest... but to bring law enforcement into the mix seems odd. The one thing that LE could get involved with this is if the designated tester was using false credentials.

The College Board (the makers of the SAT) are just trying to cover their asses. They need to punish this kid in order to help maintain the illusion that the SAT means anything more a single line on your college entry papers... which only matters because they say it does.

The SAT does predict success in college, although it isn't the best predictor. Table 5 of that link shows moderate correlations between SAT scores and first year GPA (FYGPA).

Too bad GPA is not an indicator of success for anything but school. It has no effect on work ethics, work ability or anything like that.

Yea. I got some friends in school who wait until the last minute and "churn" out work and get 95-100 grade. Of course these guys/gals are not really team player either. They just goof until assignment time. They wouldn't help other students/friends when we don't understand.

Yes, that is pretty close to true, actually. I was just responding to Ashburner's assertion about why colleges require SAT scores. Admissions offices are the gatekeepers to education, not to success in the world at large.
