And I came to this conclusion: Super hero comics are depressing. I know they say that death in comic means nothing because they'll probably be back in a year or so but I've realized something. There just going to come back to life to die again, probably right when you start liking them too.

What I actually thought of the book in spoiler tags.

As for the book itself, I have no idea if i liked it or not because it was kind of hard to follow. Also, after the "evil" monitors stated that they were vampire gods I just couldn't take them seriously after that. I honestly wished they just focused on darksieds invasion and death because it kind of lost its significance against the whole monitor arc.

Thirdly, why does batman go shirtless when ever he's away from civilization? What if its cold outside? Does he just feel that his cowl is a natural part of his shirt and he can't remove one without the other?
Anyways that is all.

This. a thousand times this. you take one of the biggest villains in the DCU, and end up making him a side-villain in his final story? and second banana to a villain who doesn't show up til the last pages of the main book? no. no. no.

I made the mistake of reading the Sinestro Corps War right before reading Final Crisis.

Sinestro Corps War was so awsome it made Final Crisis all that worse.

Ya know what..naw, I am not getting into it. Not worth it at this point. Suiffice to say, I liked it, and I will leave it at that.

I liked elements of it. Hated his "channel changing" story telling approach. Just an excuse to not have to tell a coherent story from panel to panel. I enjoyed the immediate aftermath of Darkseid's takeover, The lone resistance patches, the 5 remaining cities. Some really, really awesome ideas that unfortunately only last for an issue. Also the scene with the Justice League survivors losing the Hall of Justice was great, and heartbreaking.

Bottom line I think from Final Crisis. Grant Morrison, fantastic idea man, not so great storyteller.

Hey thats cool dude. Tell us what you liked about it- The thing is, I want to like it. I always want to like the stuff I read. I usually like grant Morrison it just didn't mesh with me this time.

Personally I liked that ultraman had a serious role in this(Thats not really a spoiler is it?). I found that interesting.
