So for Valentine's day this year, I'm thinking of this for a present for the GF: Horses are her favorite animal, black her favorite color and pay-day bars her favorite candy. My plan is to make a box shaped like a horse, paint it black and fill it with layers of candy. I plan to give it to her after our scheduled date...wherein I've arranged for a screening of her favorite horror movies at tiny art-house movie theater in Philly.

From my perch, it looks like that's a pretty good gift. Plus it's hand-made, which will mackerel happy and touched. Remember to fillet up with more than just one kind of candy though, are there other types she likes? If pay-day bars are the sole surprise, it might get boring. Also, snapper a few pictures after you make it, so we can see what it looks like! Cod, I love it when people come up with romantic ideas, it's like herring angels sing.
