My favorite character, besides Jon Shannow (who was based off kane somewhat) is making it to the big screen. Not sure how I feel about this, as it loks a bit over done and flashy, but for some reason, I know I will be there opening day.
And for those who don't know, Solomon Kane was the Puritan-esque warrior that traveled around, killing evil with sword and pistol and being bad ass by Robert Howard, the guy who brought you Conan and Kull.

I need to start reading some Philip Jose Farmer. It seems each of my old favorite heroes from the pulp & newspaper serial era were linked together in a larger family by him. Holmes, Savage, Quartermaine, Tarzan, etc.
Sounds kinda like what the writers did to Superman in Smallville.

I read the review for this on AICN, Harry Knowles seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread. I was in at just the mention of Solomon Kane. Shoulda made this movie years ago.
