Space City Comic Con

I posted this on FB, but I figured there are some Texas locals here that might be able to help, so...

I want to go to Space City Comic Con http://spacecitycomiccon.com/ (May 27-29) to sell books. It's in Houston, so I need to make three things happen before I can do that:

1) I need to be able to buy 100-150 books and have them shipped to someone's house. Paying to ship them here, paying to fly them over, and then paying to send the unsold books home just adds to the cost and raises the number of books I have to sell. (I probably have this covered already)
2) I need a volunteer to help me man the booth. It's going to be a long couple of days, and I'll need to be able to leave the table every now and then to pee, eat, and do a little shopping. The artists booth comes with two badges, so my helper would get in for free.

if you think you'd be able to help out with any of those things, shoot me a message!

When do you need to ship them? I'd help you out, but we are probably moving, and it would stink if you shipped them to the wrong house. I'm probably already going to be there as an artist, but I might be able to help you out there, too. Not sure yet on that one.

Probably gonna ship books in Feb.

I have a lot of friends in Houston, so I may have everything covered. I'll know for sure in a couple weeks. Until then, I'm keeping my options open.

I can't guarantee that I could go, I may have nieces graduating that weekend from high school. But, if I can make it buy I'd say hi and spell you for a bio break.

Looks like I have all my ducks in a row. An old friend (someone I've known 20 years) who's a non smoker and no pets has offered to house the boxes of books until May, so I went ahead and ordered them and got my exhibitor space paid for.

I have another old friend that I've known just about as long offering to put me up for the run of the event, and he and his girlfriend have offered to help sit the booth. Bonus: His girlfriend is a fan, so she can chat up the books excitedly ;)

Thanks everyone who offered to help, even if just potentially.

I'm going to be there. So all you guys in or around the houston area, please drop by and say hi! Maybe we can even do a dinner or something one night that weekend.
