Sorry for the necro, but I got to say, your boy Cody caught everyone by surprise with today's ep. He may be a one-trick pony, but it's a real good trick.

Yeah, it may be one trick, but every time some asshole puts his head under his armpit, it's going to keep working.

I missed it, I was at a hockey game. Good thing all fights are put on Spike's website! hooray for internets!

Just watched the fight. Wow, could they make Stevens and Koschek look like bigger douches? A little bit of humble pie for them. Good on GSP for his professional demeanor, he's hard not to root for.

Eh, he's only 22. Though, he's not nearly as clever or funny as he thinks he is, he gets under Koschek's skin, so I like him.

Koshchek seems remarkably thin-skinned for a guy who likes trash-talking and pranks as much as he does.

I still can't believe that Stevens was so arrogant that he thought shooting for Cody's mid-section was a good idea. There were a dozen other things he could have done to avoid the one thing at the top of Cody's game, and he just dove right into it.

To be fair to Koschek and the other coaches, I got the impression that they warned Stevens about that, I guess he just didn't listen.

I don't think Stevens is all that bright. For all the shit he gave Cody, he sure didn't come across it anyways. I need to make an animated gif of Kos's "OMG" face, haha. Number 1 pic eliminated by number 6 pic, so sad :)

That fight was beautiful. Perfect planning on behalf of GSP and Cody. Immediately forcing Stevens off his game he resorted to what he knows naturally, wrestling and went for and instinctive takedown. And got choked out for it.

Just watched the latest. Convinced more than ever that Dana White and Koschek worked out his d-bag routine beforehand, because why would a fight promoter tolerate that kind of behavior in public view?

Pretty much knew from the get-go that Dane Sayer was long odds up against Sako, but he improved a hell of a lot since his prelim fight. Had he been able to keep more of the fight standing, he might have at least gotten a third round.

I was hoping that GSP would pull off a miracle win against Kos in the baseball challenge, but we all knew that it was pretty much not going to happen. It was pretty clear that Dana wanted to cheer up Team Kos.

Wildcard choice was a little odd. We all knew Aaron Wilkinson was a shoe-in for it, but I'm surprised by Dana going along with Kos' suggestion to put Stevens in there with him. I know he was top-seeded out of the prelims, but getting taken out inside 20 secs by Cody should have kept him out of contention. I was thinking it would have been Sevak, with Dane and Jeff Lentz in the outside chance.

And finally, wtf is up with Kos and teasing that medic? I mean, of course you can beat that guy in a fight, you're a world-class fighter, but he's a medic, he keeps guys like you fighting, or at least helps you heal, after you get hurt! Respect him for at least that much!
