I hadn't heard of this until I began scanned IMDB today to get an idea of what movies we were seeing this year, and the film Splice came up. I was just peeking out of curiosity, but getting a Species vibe. Then Guillermo del Toro came up talking about the monster and what he saw in the idea, and I saw the video clip of the little partly-human, partly-something else crawling around the lab. This actually looks pretty interesting.

Another note: del Toro is not directing, just producing, but I was under the impression he puts attention into what he's producing a la Peter Jackson.
