The future of the much-anticipated MMO Stargate: Worlds my be in jeopardy following a recent announcement from publisher FireSky. Developer Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Feb. 12, and the word is that they are cutting ties with Gary Whiting (former Chairman and CEO). Shareholders and employees have filed a civil case “alleging various wrong doing against the Company.”

Well with SGU about to fire up again this would have been a great time to tie in interest in the show with the game. Frinstance have a pillar in the middle of nowhere that gives a reward when a code put in by an actor on the show is entered. Course I never understood how advertising the heck out of a show to build interest, then letting the show lie dormant for 4+ months helps either, so there it is.

At the end of the article they not the Stargate folks do seem to be pressing on with their FPS Stargate: Resistance.
