Haven't played on the higher difficulties yet, but it was pretty easy on the lower difficulties. 1cc'd on Beginner and Standard with little difficulty, will try the other ones soon. The accomplishments affecting your ship's weapons and bombs add some nice replay value. Maybe this is just the lower difficulties, but the bullet hell bits give you a bit of a deflector shield, so it makes the game pretty forgiving. Even if you don't normally play shmups, you should be able to reach the end and beat it without much trouble.

I find that surprising, since the requirements are:

OS Windows 2000 / Xp / Vista
CPU Recommended 1.0 GHz or higher
Memory Recommended 512 MB RAM
Runtime DirectX8.1 or higher (Xp includes it as standard)
Graphics Card 32bit color mode at 640 x 480 screen resolution compatible
Sound Card DirectMusic compatible
Input Device Keyboard or gamepad

Other than wanting to punch you in the face for calling them shmups, I agree. I started on regular and hit hard afterwards.

Shmup is the worst God damn term ever invented for anything.

After unzipping the file I click the setup file and I get an error message. It's not that my computer can't handle it, but that the file just won't load the setup. And yes I downloaded it more than once.

Shouldn't be a setup file. All you should have to do is click on Genetos.exe and it should just pop open a window for you to play it.

Okay. So the little Genetos file I clicked on threw me an error. I assumed it was a setup file.
