Ok folks, I am going to need some help on this one.
Background - We have a video streaming server (wmv) basically videos on this server is accessible just by typing the link
Now he wants some of the videos (in the folder) to have password protected. Possibly having individual accounts for each users (who can access different folders) the reason is that some of these are paid content and he wants the ability to assign a user who can access out of 12 folders (or combination of)
I am only good with local files and active directory. Can I replicate this on the web? If I set up an active directory server and have the video server attach to it, when I hit a certain link does it require a login ID?
what is the best way to do it? (if you have alternative method that would be great) I know I could make a password protected page, but people can just copy the link and bypass it.
any tips would be great! thanks.

I don't know the particulars, but you can set up your web page to use active directory for users and PW's. I do it here, but I do not do the set up.
