I just finished reading the first 2 issues of the new IDW series. For those who don't know Mirage sold off their entire rights to the Turtles to Nickelodeon. Well IDW picked up the comic rights and have started putting out a relaunch of the series.

There's currently two issues out, with story by Kevin Eastman & Tom Waltz. Script by Tom Waltz. Layouts by Kevin Eastman, and art by Dan Duncan. The book is in color, done by Ronda Pattison.

Anyone else checking this out?

Three issues out and I'm still enjoying it. This month they start releasing the Micro-Series, one turtle each issue.

If you were ever a turtle fan, and you see the first issue in your shop I suggest picking it up and giving it a chance.

I think I'm actually going to give this a chance. The new 52 was pretty upsetting (although Justice League is doing alright). So let's do this.

I've given up on 52 being a "whole" continuity and am enjoying each title as a stand-alone. I'm still reading 16 titles, but they're being dropped about 2 titles per month at this rate....

Heads up this book is still great. The first TPB came out last week.

I picked up The TMNT Ultimate Collection Vol 1 also by IDW. It's the first 7 issues of the original mirage series as well as the Raphael micro-series book (1st appearance of Casey Jones). This book is larger than your typical HC or Omnibus, but not quite as big as an Absolute collection. If anyone has the Tellos HC Image put out a few years ago, it's the same scale as that. Each issue comes with commentary by Eastman and Laird and the quality of book is stunning. Great job by IDW.
