Yes, I know we've had a TON of nostalgia-related threads here over the years. But screw it! Here's one for all of us kids of the Eighties to remember the things we loved most about this totally rad decade!

Here's a blast from the past that made me remember that time:

THE NOSTALGIA I MUST TASTE IT ALL*

*Sadly, I can only savor the memory, since many of the series in this thread a) will never make it onto DVD/Blu-Ray/Whatever, and b) suck balls when viewed in the light of mature wisdom**
**or whatever passes for it

Over here this stuff was the 90's... The 80's where only about 10 minutes of Bambi or other Disney films each day during the 2 hours of TV we had...

The other day at work I heard a twee indie pop cover of Pop Goes the World by Men Without Hats. This filled me with far too much joy - this was my favourite song in the entire world at the age of 5. (sadly, if you are not from Canada, you will only be familiar with The Safety Dance) The cover version was apparently by a band called The Burning Hell, but Youtube has failed me and I can't share it with you all...so here is the original.

BEWARE THE CHEESE

(if you think of this as a children's song it makes more sense)

No, I have no idea what's up with the snowman/Bonhomme...

Not fucked up at all... my viewings of "A Charlie Brown Christmas," aren't complete without the cheesy 80's commercials from the VHS copy that we had for the longest time.
