Clancy Brown - one of my favourite voice actors - as The Goon?
Paul Giamatti as Franky?
Oh, my god. Want.

I'd never even heard about The Goon until I saw this trailer and then Googled it. Looks pretty amusing.

also never heard of the series, and the trailer looks pretty awesome. Anyone know a good place to start reading the comics?

The beginning. They are fast reads, and always fun.

I've been wanting to read these comics for ages, but for some reason I never got around to. Let's see if I remember, the next time I'm at a comics store.

I know that Hellboy did a great crossover with The Goon once, but that's all I've read of it.
I didn't Google. Why doesn't he have pupils? It's kinda weird.
Looks fun tho, but then again, I do love zombies.[/QUOTE]
A friend of mine brought up that very same thing about the eyes. It's an artistic choice straight out of the comic.
As far as the comic goes, I've never read it but always wanted to. Especially when it had a story called "Satan's Sodomy Baby".

Whoa. I just this minute clicked on this thread. How have I never heard of this?!?

Yeah, I read the Hellboy crossover too. That looks amazing. It's nice to see someone using CGI instead of trying to make real life people look exactly like the comics, which I think generally results in silliness. (Unpopular Fun Size opinion of the day: Sin City was rubbish. Stories were okay, actors were great considering what they were faced with, but the attempt to match the comic ended up in a product that made me laugh when I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to be laughing.)

Franky doesn't have pupils in an homage to the old newspaper comics like Annie. Just a style thing from the comics. I've read a few Goon books and they're really worth checking out. Great art and style, and the stories are awesome.
