The Maine Solar System Model

I've mentioned elsewhere that I've recently move to Presque Isle, ME for the university's Elementary Teacher's Certificate program.

And there's exactly two things to do in this town: jack and shit. Of course, Iwas kinda spoiled, living in Toronto the past four years.

But now, I think I have an excuse/reason to go touring the area:

Basically, miniature models of the solar system are posted around Aroostook County, all the way down to Houlton. From the Sun (at University of Presque Isle) to Pluto, it's about 40 miles. According to GoogleMaps, that'd be about a 3 hour bike ride.

And you know what? I think I'm gonna do it. Maybe take pics of or with each of the planets.

Whatcha guys think? Well, you know, aside from:

Actually I think that sounds fun. But only if you go with someone. Just riding by yourself to do that sounds kinda boring.

That would require knowing anyone in this town. Currently, I do not. Well, one friend; a major ex of one of my best friends.

I highly doubt that a) She'd even want to do this or 2) She owns a bike.

You have got to do it! Post a few flyers around campus and maybe you'll meet some cool people. Definitely use Phil's intro line!

=Making a mental note not to introduce nerd to attractive single cousin studying teaching in same location=
