Anyone playing this?

I'm having a hell of a time building up celebrity.

Also how funny is the new adjust-a-bust size feature in create a sim? I laughed.

I've only got the World Adventures expansion pack, but apparently the muscle and bust features are a patch for all versions. I'll have to check this out.

How do you like World Adventures? I thought it was kind of tedious.

I'm liking Late Night a lot. All the crazier my Sims can be with more content.

Right now I'm combining a new feature wit an old[er] one that I hadn't tried yet: I'm playing a Ghostbuster who is himself a vampire.

Well, I like some of the features such as karate and nectar. But aside from that it doesn't seem to add much to the game.

There's also the long-standing problem of losing inventory whenever you switch back and forth between families. I'm not sure if it persists in the expansion pack but I'm not going to risk it because I've got tons of perfect fruits in my inventory.

Consider trying out the Awesome Mod. It adds a lot of consistency and other options to your game which you can customize, things that just make common sense. Like inactive Sims still having to pay bills, still wanting and striving towards their lifetime goals, still accruing lifetime reward points, et cetera. I believe this helps keep inventories intact. One additional thing that may be coming to future versions is that personal inventories will be passed to family members in the event of a character death.

There are a lot of things in the game that I think they should work on instead of adding so much. I want to make my own town. I hate using their towns.

No matter how different I make my sims look they all end up looking the same just different colors. Also for a while there everyone in one of my towns got really humongously fat! it was bizarre. They fixed that in a patch but really wtf?

I wish the kids had more to do.

We don't talk about the Sims.

Halforums house.....
Great white buffalo! Great white buffalo!

Man, I bought Sims 3 quite awhile ago. Haven't played it in ages. Might be due to my laptop being not fantastic running it. It runs it okay, but on a lot of the settings turned down. =/

I always find that, when it comes to The Sims, I always play the first iteration a lot, then a bit of the first expansion, then as they add more little "mini-games" I just lose interest. I think the reason why is because I am horribly controlling of my Sims and how they act, and as each "mini-game" comes out adding the ability to go out to clubs, or visit china, or become a ghostbuster, or become a celebrity, I just lose interest because I don't see "my" Sim doing most of those things, and if I do make them do it, I feel I made him a bit to "perfect". I would go to another household but, then that goes back to the controlling issue, as my main sim is now off doing who knows what.

If I decide to play again I might try really hard to do a generational neighborhood where I actually let my Sims have kids, die, and then make the kids do some of the things I wouldn't do.

Well... when I can actually play anyways. Still need a new computer.

Ok the new expansion seems to be really dark. I mean I can't tell if it is day or night half the time. Anyone else have that problem?
