The Spark! (Girl Genius 10/09/09)

I have been theorizing for awhile now that the Other had the ability to create machines with the spark or at the very least transfer the spark into machine. My theories started back when The other transferred the Others mind into the Robot back in Sturmhalten. But this as a whole raises some very interesting questions. I have no doubt that the Baron would love to watch and analyze Agatha and her Dingbot's since he has such a fascination with the spark in general. Of course that would all hinge on him stopping his attempts at killing her.

Considering how the Baron's approach to studying the Spark is digging around in the brain... the one doesn't disclude the other.

I don't believe that the Baron's main way of studying the spark is to dissect it. I think he does so only when he decides it is a necessity. We saw his trying to due a little surgery on Othar's brain but as we found out later Othar is a bit loopy (to put it mildly) I think the only string evidence that the Baron likes to dig around spark's brains is Dr Dimitri. But even as for him we only have here say to go off of. If you remember once Agatha mentioned she didn't want to turn out like Dr. Dimitri and Gil looked surprised and asked why she would. I believe that The Baron would simply prefer to give a Spark some tools and stand back and watch but due to running his empire he doesn't get the chance.

I've always assumed that the Baron prefers to see a spark in action, as a spark under his watch can provide useful technology. But being a spark himself he is not immune to the lunacy they all seem to share. He may therefore reason that sometimes breaking something is the best way to understand it.
