If that takes place directly after the interview where Norm MacDonald talks about liking gay porn then holy fuck, I remember watching that one when I never watched late night talk shows.
Like 15 years ago.

Man, I can't believe you guys let this one die.. I am so disappointed in you.
Anyway, last week we got the triumphant return of Triumph the Insult Comedy Dog... damn was it hilarious. Seriously, Max Weinberg being inside that tent made have to pause so I could literally laugh thunderously. And then Bruce fracking Springsteen at the end. Whaddya know.
Do you guys know if he's still beating Letterman in the ratings?

Not during the week of the Letterman/Palin thing, for sure. Don't know about now.

I was already doing so.. but I just had to put the image of Palin on Paul's place inside your heads. Conducting the band and quipping with Dave.

(Heidi Klum in the show, very visibly pregnant)
Conan: So, of course, Seal is your husband.
Heidi: Yeah.
Conan: And what kind of dad is Seal?
Heidi: He's the perfect dad, of course!
Conan: Ok... I didn't say he wasn't! (in rough, fake german accent) HE'S THE PERFECT DAD, OF COURSE!!
Heidi: He is, he is! He's the perfect dad, and he's the perfect husband and he's the perfect dad.. I haven't seen him in five weeks--
Conan: ...perfect!!
The show with Heidi Klum had Steve Zahn on too, and for a while they just started talking to each other and Conan just sat back and looked around.
It felt like a very... unrehearsed show. From the dog circus they brought in to entertain the back row getting all distracted to Conan having to say "I promise there's an interview coming somewhere.." as he paused for a break during his talk with Heidi Klum.... and I loved it. Seriously, I think this has been like my favorite Tonight Show since Conan came on, over all. There have been some great bits, don't get me wrong, but talking about the whole show itself... man, who would've thought I'd be laughing my ass off as he interviewed Heidi Fracking Klum?! I wouldn't have even recognized the woman on the street.
And Jimmy Carr at the end... a bit of british humor to shock. Oh man, I love this show.

I'm such a bad Conan fan. I haven't seen a single episode since the switch. :blue:

WHOA... I hadn't even noticed the threads had been merged!
Why didn't a search for "tonight show official" or even "tonight conan" bring the original thread up??
And also.. those 1-meter bratwurst pics still crack me up. As Conan was trying to pile all the huge food together it broke and he was all WHYY GOOD WHYYYY as you can see in teh pic. Cracked me up.
The first one is him using it as a mustache, which eventually degraded into him being the villain in a "vegetarian western"

That was funny as hell!
WHY?!? GOD WHHHHHHHHY?

We get the Tonight Show only three days later than it airs in the States. When was this bratwurst bit? I think I've missed it... probably because I often just skip the interviews and focus on the opening and the skits

Dude, I've learned that with Conan, you should never skip the interview.
I know where you're coming from, if he's interviewing someone you don't care about.. why bother? But if the Heidi Klum interview showed me anything is that hilariousness doesn't care who's around when it decides to strike. And Conan is a lighting rod for hilariousness.
The bratwurst thing was from the Hank Azaria episode, Friday's.

Sometimes it can be the people who you expect the least out of that give the greatest interviews. I think it was howie mandel recently was on and I figured he was a funny guy did some shows that should make him a good talker, but when he was on it felt akward and just terrible. But then like Heidi Klum and others do a stand up job and make it very exciting.
Connan and Jon Stewart are my favorite late night show host.
