No, not in sex.

I've been working on a puzzle of sorts for --- MONTHS now, and FINALLY, finally FINALLY!!! gotten the correct answer.

I haven't had a bigger "YES!!!" moment in quite some time.

This is mostly a celebratory outlet, but also curious what your "eureka!"s and yes moments have been recently.

Oh I have another one:

Winning my first State-Wide tournament ever. Samurai Showdown 4. I was only 15 and one of 3 total girls of about 300 participants (mostly playing other games). It's how I got to meet alot of what became the professional gamer crew in Southern California and some of the founding members of the SRK forums. It was the beginning of my long trek into playing games competitively. I won a few local tournaments in Tekken Tag Tournament a couple years later and placed in the top 50 of the US in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 at a National.

Freakin fantastic times.

I think the only boss that drove me insane with wipes was Archimonde. Not that he was the hardest boss we ever fought, but because of all the stupid ways people would die.

So his death was pretty epic. Not to mention I got my Cata's Edge that night too.

Mine might seem pretty darn weird. Most of my "A HA!" moments lately have been identifying emotions. It's a little strange to go "What on earth is this...? OH! I'm feeling anticipation for what's about to happen."

See, when my health was at it's worth (and I didn't really grasp this at the time) my emotions were deadened to the point of being almost non-existent. When I was really sick all I felt was anger/fear and mild happiness. I didn't really feel much of anything else. I had an intellectual idea of excitement and stuff like that, but it wasn't a feeling. As my health has been returning, my emotions have started returning.

I tell ya, I did not appreciate all the different subtleties of emotion before. The way that "longing to get to know someone better" feels different than "missing hanging out with an old friend", even though they're both kinds of loneliness. I keep getting surprised by all the different types and styles that each general category of emotion has in it's sub-sets. So many different types of happiness and joy, and I get the feeling this is just the start.

Finally making peace with my mortality. It's easy to say things, or to believe that you'll never really die, but quite another to see it and to be ok with it.

I love that feeling when I'm researching something. I usually get the "YES!" moment when I'm working out some long mathematical derivation, and it collapses at the end to something simple (and publishable). I'm also a big fan of the "hey, that can't be true...that answer's actually right!" moment, which seems to come when I'm testing code.

I have to second this actually. I was having some health problems basically involving losing consciousness constantly. It was at one point in a series of episodes that I thought to myself "This must be the way it feels to die." and now I really have no fear about that particular situation. Very liberating.
