Things you like that everyone seems to hate

The Wackowski Siblings' adaptation of Speed Racer. I thought it was fun and that they pretty much achieved making a live-action cartoon that felt like a big love letter to the show, even if it was a bit slow at points.
Around my house, the Spongebob Squarepants movie. When I was a kid I loved that movie and still do, my parents and little brother hate it though.
World War Hulk. I know this was one of the dumbest arcs in Marvel history, but everytime I see Super Sayain Dr. Strange I can't help but smile.

Daredevil and the Fantastic Four films. Are they great? Oh, LORD no. But I don't think they're as bad as many have said. I'd say they're at least better movies than, say, Green Lantern. The Directors Cut of Daredevil, I think, is particularly good.
I'm right there with you on the Matrix sequels, @Ravenpoe. They're nowhere near as good as the first, but they're not THAT bad. I feel the same way about the Pirates sequels, even though I think they're worse than the Matrix sequels.

Friday the 13th for the NES. This game is hard as balls, insanely frustrating, and I LOVE IT!

I love driving. Long distances, great! Traffic, no problem! I know a lot of people, particularly here in HI, who dread having to drive when traffic is bad.
In traffic, no. I'm ok with driving 8+ hours at once though.
I just throw on some good music and sing. I figure I can't control it so I shouldn't let it get on my nerves.
I used to be able to do that. Ever since I moved out of the city I just can't do it though.

I'm with you here, I'll toss in all the Riddick movies (Including Chronicles) and I love the Dungeons and Dragons movie.

Riddick, yes, D&D movies....oh hell no.

Not all the D&D movies, just the fantastically bad/funny first one. The only exception is the Wayan's brother in it, he goes below bad and into unwatchable. I literally cheered the first time I watched him die.
We're also Big Bang fans in this house, however I heard it got renewed for 3 more seasons, meaning it'll be another 10 season show.... I would say they're doing alot of repeated theme episodes as it is.... I'm worried about the next couple.

Damn it! Even the Lord of the Rings felt like Gimli had to be the butt of jokes and the Elves had to save the Dwarves every time.

This. I've been waiting for them to pull that trigger for several seasons now. I don't think they'll ever have the balls to do it, though. No pun intended. Given that they constantly use homosexuality as a punchline, I don't have any faith in the writers.
That said, I do still watch the show. It's just funny and enjoyable enough for me to keep tuning in. Plus, I can't deny that there's been some actual character development, which is rare in many sitcoms.

What I think is interesting, is that what they've done with Sheldon is exactly what they did to the little Asian genius kid. Remember that episode? Everyone was intimidated by him so they introduced him to a bunch of girls and he just basically gave up on science. What has Sheldon done scientifically since Amy came into the picture? Nothing. He had one paper published and retracted due to errors. Sheldon's finding of friends and a girlfriend broadened his social abilities, but has totally ruined him as a scientist, to the point where Kripke outshines him.
I wasn't so thrilled with traffic when my kids were little babies because of diapers and feeding times. Also, my son has problems with motion sickness and couldn't take Dramamine for it until a few years ago because of his age. Ginger and various other remedies were hit & miss, so being stuck in traffic was sometimes pretty nasty. Now they're both older it is a lot more enjoyable.

The Barenaked Ladies. If I mention them or play them, people often ask if I'm trying to be funny, or if I have nostalgia for them. No, I just fucking love them. They're my favourite band.

I love BNL! I also have Steven Page's solo stuff like the Vanity Project.
I don't love his solo stuff, but there's some of it that's phenomenal. Have you seen his rendition of Hallelujah with Kevin Hearn? It was for the memorial of one of the leader's of Canada's Opposition who passed away shortly after leading his party to a totally unexpected second-place triumph.
I like that Steven Page's lyrics and music are filled (often) with a lot of irony. It gives a lens to many feelings I have.
