This man needs your annoying chain emails!

Long time lurker, here!

At this year's GenCon (the world's largest con for tabletop roleplaying games), I am slated to give a talk titled 'Evolution, Creationism, and Gaming.' This is part of GenCon's brand new skeptic track!

However, one of our own, at http://dubitoergo.blogspot.com/2010/03/putting-call-out.html needs some help! He's doing a talk titled 'Break the Chain: E-mail forwards and Introductory Critical Thinking'. But years of deleting chain emails has left him with few to work with! So he's asking for you to forward him your favorite (or least favorite) glurges, bad luck chain letters, hoaxes, 419 scams, ads for unlikely products, missing children notices, prayer requests, and so forth. He's politely and humbly asking that you send them to this address:

So, halforums, those things your dad, grandpa, and officemates keep sending you? Finally, they have a good use!

I have long since set my e-mail to auto-delete anything that contains "fwd:" in the subject, so no help here.

I have long since set my e-mail to auto-delete anything that contains my email address in the To: line, so no help here. On the other wing, it is very stress free here in the box of anger.

can I submit my annoying arrogant cousin to the spam-receiving list?

I –*I don't think so?

Bear in mind that this ain't just spam, this is primarily things like email forwards. Lists of facts and miracle cures and conspiracies and so forth.

Interesting. I don't get much of this any more because I tend to berate people verbally who send them out. I can probably come up with a few from a buddy who doesn't have a clue but most of them are anti Obama and OMFGSOCIALIST!!

I'm pretty sure he'd appreciate that a great deal. :)

I love chain emails, because it is the best way to acquire working E-Mails to Spam.

Just sent him like 5 or 6 of them. I hope this isn't an elaborate practical joke.

Well, if it's an elaborate practical joke, it's pretty damned elaborate, considering that I'd have to put together two blogs (http://dubitoergo.blogspot.com/ and http://skepticalgamers.wordpress.com/) a forum (http://genconskeptics.forumotion.com/forum.htm), and have convinced GenCon to put sixteen events on the roll for when the list of events is released in two weeks.

He's getting a shitload more. My friend send me 20 or so which I forwarded on. Then I told my friend to stop it and send them to the guy directly. Oy vey. Did you know Obama is a Muslim and evil?
