So this was Friday's XKCD (make sure to read the mouseover text).

Which wasn't exactly exciting, but reasonably entertaining. And then two days later I read this Something Positive.

Which also references the slightly absurd "this space intentionally left blank" thing. Is there some metajoke suddenly sprawling it's way across the interwebs that I'm missing, or is this just a coincidence?

 

I saw that, too. I just wondered if Randy was tossing a reference to XKCD for fun.

It may be the start of a metajoke, but it'd have to show up in other spots first.
