FYI for Thunderbird users.. if you've used the program for a long time, you know there haven't been that many updates for it.. apparently recently there've been quite a few, mine just tried to update from 3.01 or something to 3.06. It crashed on install and gave me a BSOD and rebooted.. upon rebooting, the program stated it was no longer a valid program and refused to open. All was not lost, don't panic if this happens to you, .. instead, just go to Thunderbird - It and download the full version (3.1.1 as of this post) and install over the top. It kept my settings, emails and address book and I didn't lose anything.. in fact, I regained my toolbars at the top I had been missing!
Hopefully you won't get the bad egg in the basket like I did, but if you do, there's a solution for you.
