People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey... stuff.

That's actually a pretty good summation of some basic string theory. Well, not the Lucy part. Time is a string of beads, where beads are your choices. The 5th dimension is the selection of beads available to you. The sixth is the range of different bead strings you could've made, etc.
