[Bug] Time Traveling Forums

I think we had a bit of a hiccup tonight. A bunch of the posts that were made this evening are now gone, including comments made in the shoutbox.

A whole bunch of threads with "new" posts at 2:45am, but no change from when I read them at 10pm.

Right before this happened, I had trouble accessing the forum. Not sure how long the downtime was though.

Seems like the forum crashed or was wiped, and restored itself from a previous backup.

Yes sir

the raid card went on the server, causing the data in the raid array to corrupt, so the drives had to be swapped out. Drives had to be restored from backup and I used a earlier backup to assure there was no data corruption still to any database. Sorry about that! Six more people to restore to go!

I kind of prefer to think of our little forum gaining sentience and time travel capabilities, popping around the timey wimey nodes of future tubes dropping Minotaur penis and steak references at random times and space....

but ya, the backup thing makes more sense.
