Mirage sells the ninja turtles for $60 million. Local indy creators make good, even after all those years. Nick's planning a new animated series sometime next year, to boot.
Admittedly, Turtles isn't the cash cow that it was in the 80s. It's still a good money maker, but more along the lines of a cash calf.
I actually liked the new Turtles show that came out a few years ago. At least the first few seasons; I forgot all about it after awhile. I wasn't crazy about what they did with Shredder (making him one of the Krang-like aliens).
I have a feeling that, if it's on Nicktoons, we can expect it to go back to the ol' 80s cartoon. And I expect more movies, again. It's kind of a shame, as I preferred the newer cartoon, since (except for Shredder's "origin") it was much more like the original comic.

I'm guessing there wont' be a sequel to the CGI film then?

Yeah, I liked it, too. Though, I do admit that the story was a little too silly with the Turtles being more secondary than anything else.
And Critic made a damn good point about what exactly Raph and Leo were fighting over. "You need to stop this vigilantism so we can get back to vigilantism!"
But the movie on a whole was fun and the animation was gorgeous.

The movie is getting a sequel and the TV show is going to be CGI like the movies.

Awesome! I'm down for that. Loved the design(s) of TMNT.
