Tobacco Induced Nausea

We had poker night tonight and cigars were handed out... while they were actually pretty good during the smoking, even though I never smoke tobacco, by now I'm all nauseous and kinda dizzy and I can't get rid of it.

How do you cure tobacco induced nausea? :(

cigars can have quite a kick to them. Like anything, you need to take into account how much you can handle.

Drink a bottle of whisky and you might also notice some nausea.

My flatmate actually threw up after smoking his first cigar, but then he didnt ordinarily smoke so he wasnt really used to it.

I don't smoke tobacco ever, either.

I think that today I took in more tobacco than in my previous 24 years of life. Literally.

Yeah, I know... the nausea was pretty effin bad when I started the thread, though, and thought someone might have like a miraculous cure they could share. I was considering shoving a finger down my throat to throw up, just to see if that would make my body go "ok, he's blown his chunks, no reason to be nauseous anymore)

It's better now, somewhat subsided. Thank you for asking.... bastard.

I sure hope you didn't inhale them, that would make me nauseous and I smoke cigars on a regular basis. Next time just grab something sweet and sugary. At the cigar shop I work at we have these mints that are essentially pure sugar. If I ever feel light headed from a smoke I just pop a few of those mints and I'll feel fine withing a half hour.

I smoked my first cigar this week. I've never smoked anything in my life before. I didn't throw up, but MAN did I have a headache for an hour afterward.

I probably should have worked my way up. I'm just glad I couldn't keep the damn thing lit. I'd have been absolutely messed if I had smoked the whole thing.

Time heals all wounds. Gettin sick off your first smoke is part of becoming a man. Congratulations.

Tobacco always makes me nauseous and a little loopy, so I've never picked up the habit. Secondhand doesn't seem to bother me, unless it's excessive and in a closed space.

Inhaled too much too soon.
Walk it off, tobacco is like crack.
It'll be gone soon.

I get a little lightheaded whenever I smoke a whole cigar, even outdoors with plenty of fresh air. It might be because my occasional cigar always coincides with imbibing wine or whiskey, but WHO KNOWS.

I've been smoking cigars fairly often for years. Once in a while I'll get light headed after a stogy. but never too sick.

Also what were you drinking with the cigar?

Some people also tend to swallow the smoke instead of inhaling it, that will get you pretty sick too.

I obviously didn't inhale or swallow... I'm not THAT stupid.

The nausea came back a bit as I was trying to sleep when I shifted my position and smelled my hands... all tobacco-y. Had to take a shower at 5am so I could get to sleep.

Never smoking THAT plant again.
