Charlie Don't Surf

The Lovely Boehner

1 and 2 aren't a combination of Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson, list has no credibility

90. Ian Astbury
Wow, Freddy Mercury sings Heavy Metal better than the lead singer of The Cult?

#4

Krisken

List does not include Burton C. Bell. List maker can eat a dick.

#5

It is like he did fair down to ten, then started throwing numbered darts at a bulletin board with random names.

Fixed that for you.

What the hell. Who actually made this?

#7

Marilyn Manson sings better than Jimi Hendrix????

The person who put the list up was right about Keith Caputo. The front man from Life of Agony definitely deserves to be on list like this... long before Rod fucking Stewart.

The comments are the best. Right at #1 "
Kinda shocked that Maynard James Keenan is below Paul Stanley…"

Fucking A, man. My thoughts exactly.

Hm, maybe the writer is trolling :D

What, no Brendon Small? He was only the vocalist for the two highest charting Metal albums of all time. I'd imagine that should at least get him on the list, even if he's not a serious Metal artist.

#10

Chazwozel

Um, this list is fucked from the start Led Zeppelin is a progenitor of metal, but they weren't metal.

#11

ElJuski

ElJuski

They sang about wizards and shit. I thought thats what real metal is about????

Also, this list is fucking stupid. There's nothing else to be said about it.

#12

Chazwozel

Steven Tyler? I thought Aerosmith was more of a glam band.

#13

Wasabi Poptart

David Bowie is metal? Really?

And where is Glenn Danzig?

#14

Joe Johnson

Chaz, agree a billion percent. This should be re-labelled top 100 hard rock vocalists of all time, or something similar.

Not with Steve Perry at 28 and Rod Stewart even on the list.

#16

Joe Johnson

Top 100 sort-of-classic-rock, some-heavy-metal, plus a few random others, of all time.

#17

Kurt Cobain had a mad metal voice, man, he was all about METAAAAAAAL!

To be honest, Jack Black would beat most of the bozos in that list.

Yeah, 80% of the damn list is hard/classic rock. The author might as well tout up Jimi Hendrix while he's at it. EPIC FUCKING FAIL, Hendrix is on the list! Metal didn't even exist when Jimi Hendrix was around!

I did a WTF is this shit when I saw Kurt Cobain on the list? If Kurt Cobain's on there where's Layne Staley? He had more of a metal voice than Kurt Cobain

Whoops Layne is there. The list is still lame as Alice in Chains is the definition of fucking Grunge/Alternative and NOT METAL.

#19

Gryfter

Gryfter

The list is automatically disqualified for including non-metal vocalists. I love RUSH but metal they are not, nor is Queen, Nirvana, or Pearl Jam. More proof that nobody at Hit Parade actually knows what defines Metal.

#20

Chazwozel

Where the fuck is John Bush? He's like the best lead singer from Anthrax. God this list is so fucking retarded.

This list is madness.

If they're gonna add Kurt Cobain and Rod Stewart in the list, then they might as well add Paul Anka too:

I don't like Nirvana, never have. And I thought before I played your clip that even not being a fan of Nirvana I would be upset about a Paul Anka version.
I was wrong. Instead I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

Man, seeing Rod Stewart really threw me for a loop, but he's on the list due to his contributions with The Jeff Beck Group, whose work I guess is considered a metal precursor. Just looked up some songs on Youtube, I would've figured it for regular classic blues rock. Considering some of the other names on the list, at least now I understand why he was included.

#25

General Specific

But he's not known for being a part of that group, he's known for his solo work on sappy love songs.

Rod Stewart is 25 places above King Diamond.

Really.

Fuck that list.

#30

Amy Lee!?

Whaaaaaat

#31

Philosopher B.

Was tweeting about this last night. Whoever wrote it obviously doesn't know shit about music.

James Hetfield should be way higher on that list.

WTF is Rod Stewart doing in there.

I agree Bruce Dickinson should be higher on the list too, he still has one of the best voices.

Why is Michael Kiske never on these lists? He has the voice of a god!

Fred Durst? lol
Agree totally. Michael Kiske fucking rocks.

Also, Steve Grimmett should be on there. :p

#32

These aren't metal, they're mostly hard rock. And yes, there's a fucking difference.

Lovely Boner is right, this is is total garbage.

The fuck is Fred Durst doing on there at all, dude can't sing a note to save his life.

Eh, Fred Durst makes more sense then Rod Stewart. He sings rap-metal garbage. Now a 'good' singer he is not. Not at ALL.

Where the fuck is LeJon from Sevendust?!?!? That guy has some fucking pipes. Same with the lead singer from Disturbed.

BAH! YOU WIN THIS ROUND, LIST!

Zach De La Rocha is above many, many more talented singers when he shouldn't be. Scott Weiland is leagues better, for example. This list hurts me.
