Finally watched the first episodes of Torchwood.

Honestly, I hope that story quality improves my quick thoughs for each episode

episode 1:

I guess it was a "okay" first episode to introduce us (and Gwen) in the series. I liked how they put already the "bisexual tone" of the series in the very first episode (not because

episode 2:

I KNEW IT! VAGINAS CAN KILL YOU!
overall lame episode, really, and a copy of Angel second episode as well! (similar theme of a monster that needs sex), well at least it was good to see Owen naked and handcuffed *drools*

I hope that quality improves in the future.

I'm told it does. I was turned off by the first couple episodes of season 1, but was told season 2 is much better. Did watch Children of Earth though. That was fantastic television.

Just watched the one where they teach that lesbianism causes telephaty.

Telephaty? Is that a type of telepathy with more phatness? Sounds good to me.

It's worth it to watch Torchwood solely for Children of Earth. That was one of the best pieces of television I've seen in years. Surpassed many of the great Doctor Who eps, even.

It gets better anyways. The first series was pretty meh, but it picks up, and it does have great moments even outside CoE.

Also, after Children of Earth, I have high hopes for series 4.

I think Countricide is the first really good episode in the series. The first season is extremely hit or miss, the second season a few more hits but still a large amount of misses, but as everyone said, Children of Earth is worth watching the whole series.

I still maintain that Owen is probably the most unlikable character in the entire Who-niverse.

I don't keep up with the news. Will there really be a season 4?
I thought we were lucky to get Children of the Earth as is because they wanted to cancel the show?[/QUOTE]

My understanding is that it's still up in the air because Children of the Earth did really well. Last rumor I heard is that if they make any more they will do it in the style of Children of Earth. Short miniseries rather than a season of single episodes.

No, it's gonna be another normal series, apparently.

I haven't watched anything since the episode with time travellers from 1953, I just feel lazy about it.

The next episode is any good?

The next episode kind of suck, really. It's Owen-centric, and I've already said how much I hate that prick. The next two after that are the end of the season and they're actually pretty good.

Again, EVERYTHING in Torchwood is worth the build up to Children of Earth... keep that awesome set goal in mind, young Green Lantern, and don't waver in your Torchwood quest.

Well, is there at least some skin showing?

There are a few shirtless moments. It's basically Fight Club with Weevils. It's dirivitive and stupid, and as I said, Owen is just a wanker.
