In case anyone missed them, io9 has a summary page for last night's trailers here.

What did everyone think?

I had a house full of people and totally missed everything. Hell, I almost didn't get to pay attention to the game! I saw no commercials, we all laughed at the auto-tuned atrocity that was the halftime show and no post-game stuff.

But it was a great party.

After going to that page the only ones I hadn't seen were Limitless & Super 8. I'd seen the others. Maybe I'm getting old & jaded but none of them made me go, "Man I want to see this!"

Yeah, I was a surprised by that too. With the exceptions of Super 8, Limitless, and Captain America, it seemed like most of the footage had already been available in one form or another.

In generally, I remain cautiously optimistic about this year's movies, but I'm not sure if I would consider any one a "must see". I think Captain America and Thor are the two that I am most interested in.

One other thought about last night's trailers -- where was Green Lantern?

Listen, I was asleep for most of the super bowl. I may have dreamed this and if I did I need Hollywood on the line STAT.

Daniel Craig (cool James bond)
Harrison Ford (cool everything)

As cowboys

Fighting aliens

Directed by the guy who did iron man and oh look I creamed my pants.

I had heard of this movie, but didn't hear about Craig and Ford.

They need to let me buy a ticket for this already.

The long version of the trailer "Drive Angry" was hilarious. I don't know about the 30 second spot from the superbowl, and I'll probably never see the movie, but the trailer was hilariously awesome.

Yup. That movie looked the most interesting to me.

Thor lost me with that teaser. Looks like a whole bunch of executive meddling to me.

I'm interested in Captain America a little more now. But since they're all in 3D now they can all piss off.

I'd seen the Cowboys & Aliens trailer already, but it was still awesome as heck.

you do realize that you don't have to watch them in 3D right?

That's not the point. Hollywood is smearing 3D juice all over everything when they don't have to. They have wasted their money, and they're not going to recoup their losses from me.

That doesn't make any sense.... you won't watch the movie, in non-3d because there is a 3d version made?

The biggest issue is, making things in 3D washes the color out of the 2D version of the movie. So a movie that is in 3D for no other reason than to put it out in 3D devalues the 2D experience.

From what I've seen so far, is they always release both version seperately and in clarity of their respective style.

Ex: Avatar Blu-Ray doesn't look the least bit "washed out" and neither did "UP".

Those are animated movies, programmed to be 3-D.

The Last Airbender, and Green Hornet reviews normally come down to the 3-D looking craptastic, because it was added during post production.

I've not heard of any full-length live-action 3-D film where the reviewers raved about the quality of the SPFX.

Precisely. If they're pouring a barrel of 3D over the movie for no other reason than to pour a barrel of 3D over the movie, count me out. I am not going to enable them with my ticket money. Even theaters are sending back their 3D projectors. It's not worth the bother for them either.
