Nobody has played Triple Triad now since the 15th. When I first put it in people were very excited. So what changed?

I'm going to make a poll and see what I can do to make it better.

AH. Interesting.

Tried it, couldn't win against the lowest computer... it would probably help if I could figure out the rules.

Each card has a value for each side. If your card is higher than the card on the board that card switches to your color. After all 9 cards are placed the player with the most cards on the board wins.

I got kind of boring rather quickly. I always ended up using the same cards and the same strategy to win. Is there and option for a random deck for each competitor so that you have to really think about your moves?

As you move up, the foes get stronger and stronger cards. If you win, you get one or more of the cards. If you lose, they take one or more of your cards.

To be honest, I was playing it obsessively the first few days because of the nostalgia factor. FF8 is one of my all time favorite games, so Triple Triad brought back many fond memories. But now that I've beaten all the FF8 levels and collected all the cards, my nostalgia cravings have been sated, and my motivation to play has pretty much disappeared.

This is also why I've not really played the WoW version, they don't give me the same nostalgia fix.

Yeah, I know, even with advancement it got old. I built my decks with the same cards every game and used the same strategy. At the end it's the same cards on each side, there's no reward or mechanic for interesting deck construction, just best card selection.

It would be far more interesting if the card offense/defense values were along the lines of rock/paper/scissor instead of a numerical sequence.

I just stopped being interested in it. The grind-like nature of it was a bit of a turn-off admittedly. This was probably the side-game from Final Fantasy that I played the least.
