Basically, the wonderful news is this: Ubisoft's fucking awful DRM on many games has been exposed as exposing the infected PCs to easy outside control via a garbagey plugin it secretly adds to web browsers.

Ubisoft.....is just a dreadful company.

Dammit, Ubisoft. Now you lost me as a customer for Assassin's Creed 3.

And after you partially redeemed yourself by removing the always-online requirement for the other Assassin's Creed games, too. Tsk tsk.

Well, I only buy Ubisoft games when they're released either without DRM or drop under $10, because they're a horrible company with just plain disturbing business practices. I'll add this to my list of reasons to avoid them. Too bad they've got so many good IPs in their wallet. Whycan't the Settlers just work without bloody internet :([DOUBLEPOST=1343643673][/DOUBLEPOST]Seriously, someone should sue over this. Gamers who decide this is OK for them is one thing. But at last 50% of people who buy games don't know this kind of crap. How many botnets have hackers been able to build because of this?

I haven't bought anything from Ubisoft for years now simply because of their god awful DRM practices and releasing PC games months if not years after the console version.

And I'd pay full value for a good PC game released at the same time of the console counterpoarts.

I watch the MP in AC2 with interest and I realllly wanted the game... only to remember how horrible UPlay really is.
