Unlike perhaps of many of you that have seen this film when it first came out; I was one of the late ones to see it.

Unfortunately I was unable to get it on Blu Ray and purchased my copy on DVD.

I don't know how Pixar continues to make such stellar films; well excluding a few that I don't think were that great but still.

The musical score was very touching and hit on the right moments. It reminded me of one of the old classic Disney films as a kid.

I'm not one to usually choke up when watching a film, but the beginning part of this film was perhaps one of the best parts of the whole movie.

I almost wish Pixar would create a silent film with just music. It was sad when his wife died.

It looks like some of the guys were Star Wars fans like near the end with the dogs in the planes and other moments.

One thing I laughed at was during the end credits when they went to see Star Wars in the theaters.

Up was amazing. A mortal lock for Best Animated and I'm hoping to see it get a Best Picture nom. I need to see it again in non-3D to jizz over the great color pallete

Up was my favorite theater experience in a long time, and me and my friend's would not stop saying "I hid under your porch because I love you" for months after we all saw it

That part WAS so cute... I just now watched it. I'm almost do the end. This is the first movie in a while that's actually make me full-on cry.. not just a couple of tears. I'm a mess... or I was during the opening and when he was looking through the album.

Ok, gotta go unpause now... this part's good.

It was definitely a miscarriage? I couldn't tell... I thought he was just telling them they couldn't have children.

The start of the movie was sad but sadly I didn't find the rest of the movie all that funny. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind when I watched it but I expected better from Pixar.

I wonder. Being married and having kids - I found a bunch of stuff that was absolutely hilarious that few others in the theater laughed about. Plus there was a ton of stuff that tickled my fancy from an engineering point of view.

Heretic.

Up is the rare movie that kicks you in the gut during the opening scenes, but you've forgiven them by the time the ending credits roll. In fact, you may ask them to do it again.

I look at the other films competing with Up in the Best Animated Film category, and laugh.

"Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel! That's totally got a chance!"

I took my fiance to see it on a Saturday afternoon while it was still in theaters. there was a day camp there, so the room was packed with kids and adult supervisors.

10 minutes into the movie, every adult in the theater was crying. Some, like myself, were just sniffling, and others, like my fiance, were straight up bawling. The kids had no idea why everyone was so sad.

But yeah, great fucking movie. Also, seeing a bunch of adults crying and wearing 3d glasses was the best thing ever.

The fact that I saw this with my four year old makes this one of my favourite movies of all time.

We would go to the movies about once a month and see whatever kids movie was playing and I always had to be sure to get to the earliest showing because she would talk up a storm through the entire thing, and I hated pissing people off.

From the moment of the
miscarriage
she didn't say a word. Til the movie ended. Just sat there completely mesmerized.

We went back the next day.

I haven't had the chance to see it yet but have wanted to. Now you guys have me wanting to go like right now. :)

Darn you all! Your bringing back memories and I can already feel my eyes filling with tears.

Up was such a touching movie that by the end I was sad and happy at the same time. I wanted to give Pixar a standing ovation for making me care so much about what amounted to models built in a computer, they pulled more out of my eyes then even some of the most dramatic live action movies.

Let's do a cry count, what scenes made you start crying? I had a total of four.

The opening scene the entire way through. I was crying so hard I had to cover my mouth with my jacket just to not make a lot of sounds.

The scene when he goes through the notebook for the first time brought back the tears.

The scene near the end of the movie when he finally reaches the spot, opens up the notebook that the whole movie he thought was empty, only to see that the whole time she was filling it with images of the life they shared, he was her adventure.

The final scene when they show that the house landed exactly like it was in the pasted image once again, to be forever.

We got the Blu-Ray last night. I try to avoid spoilers cause I heard it was emotional (from this forum)

Wow.... IT WAS AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT

P.S. Yes. I cried at LEAST 3 times.

It's a really wonderful movie, excellently realized. While I have a few criticisms, it's right up there with Pixar's best movies, like Wall-E, Finding Nemo, and Toy Story.

^Same. I'm a huge cryer. Feels kinda good to cry a little during a movie though. Sometimes things will strike me as funny or sad, but not enough to really make me react outwardly too much. I like a movie that makes me react.

All of S_R's moments, plus

"I hid under the porch because you are my master and I love you" because I saw this movie not long after my dog was put down

had me tearing up or sniffling pretty hard.

I finally got around to watching Up over the weekend and I must say I really enjoyed it. I had already heard that there were sad parts in the movie and so I was expecting them but the rest of my family were not expecting it. I think the sad parts added so much more to the movie it seemed to make the funny parts all the more funny.

Pretty much this. The first time I saw it, the entire theater was in tears by the end of the life montage in the beginning, and then a mere 30 seconds later, was dying of laughter from the way his stair rider almost not quite barely got him down the stairs.

Just saw it tonight. I can't remember the last time a movie made me cry, if one ever HAS. But I welled up a couple times and actually shed a single tear.

Beautiful film.

I have to say, I preferred Wall-E. Up's a great movie, but...well, didn't do all that much for me. It was sad, but I didn't cry.
