I am a bit of an ass when it comes to politics. I do have views, and I am educated on politics, but I also understand the fundamentals of democracy and sales so I view most political discourse as masturbatorial sports conversations. Recently I have taken to using 40k quotes in conversations about politics. Here are some of my favorites (I haven't used all of these of course
When discussing the war in Iraq (or war in general):
Anyone who will not fight by your side is an enemy you must crush.
Guns and [soldiers] are useful but it is our indomitable will that promises the ultimate victory.
Camouflage is the color of fear
Sometimes the good must perish so that the rest survive.
No man that died in the [Country's] service died in vain.
Not even the dead know the end of war
There is no art more beautiful and diverse than the art of Death.
Nothing can hide from the wrath of [America].
“Who is to judge what is right and what is wrong? Great and powerful foes surround us; unknown miscreants gnaw at us from within. We are threatened with total annihilation. In days such as these we can afford no luxury of morality.” (personal favorite)
When discussing religion (particularly when looking at 2 religions at the same time.)
Blessed is the mind too small for doubt
Faith is the sturdiest armour. Hatred the surest weapon.
Prayer cleanses the soul, but pain cleanses the body.
The only true achievement is purity.
Faith without deeds is worthless (have to be careful with this one. May be responsible for something you don't want )
When discussing Social Conservatism
Tolerance is a sign of weakness
Destroy the impure
Crush the unholy in all of their many guises (this one actually works in a lot of places)
War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength
Purge the unclean
When discussing the Death Penalty and the Criminal Justice system:
Innocence proves nothing
Nobody is innocent, there are merely varying degrees of guilt
When discussing immigration:
Suffer not the Alien
When discussing Women's Lib:
Perseverance and silence are the highest virtues
When discussing Homeland Security:
The population needs deception, so deceive them
When discussing the Economy:
Hope is the beginning of unhappiness
