I'll turn 44 that year. Yikes. I hopefully have children and am still happily married. I should have tenure by that point at a university that I haven't interviewed at yet and many publications under my belt. I might be working on a book, if I haven't already tried to tackle that hurdle. I can't speak to my happiness, but I sure hope I am just as happy as I am now.

Where are you this year? I would like to be living in the same area in 2010, but since I bought my house then, hopefully it has sold well if I have decided to do so.
What are you doing? Honestly, I don't want to be teaching. I love kids and my job, but there's gotta be something out there that I'm good at. Hopefully by now I am either training for it or doing it! At this time I will be 35, so I have hopefully have had kids by now. Maybe we're traveling the globe and singing like the von trapps.
Who are you with? Brian. I hope. My last relationship lasted for 5.5 years, so if I were to follow the current trend, there's hope! Hahhahaa. I also really REALLY hope my mom is still alive. As of 2010, she's only 57, but when she was little she had Polio. Now both of her legs are not working well. I just don't want her to give up on life because of this. Maybe by 2020 she'll have bionic robot legs! COOL!
Are you happier than you were in 2010? I know I will be. Life is constantly getting better, or I'm just getting better experience at letting the stupid stuff not bother me. If I'm not, it's my fault!
What did you think about 2012? Jesus Christ! Did I really graduate high school 10 years ago?
What will you be doing in 2025? I will be 40 and prolly cougin' it up with my pool cabana boy.

Welcome to 2020
Where are you this year? Great Falls, Montana
What are you doing? My day job isn't anything special - library clerk - but it pays the bills and doesn't take much away from what I really do - write. 4WFG isn't a full time paying gig, but it's nice bonus and being able to work directly with the owners has been a joy.
Who are you with? I'm alone.
Are you happier than you were in 2010? I'm more satisfied with how things are going.
What did you think about 2012? All the predictions out the apocalypse were bullshit but the campaign that year was more vitriolic than the early years of the Indochine conflict.
What will you be doing in 2025? Digging through the ruins of society to survive will avoiding roving packs of the undead.

Where are you this year?
I'll be spending a few months at home in St. John's this year. I'm looking forward to spending some time with good friends. Seeing some of their children and all that. Being the crazy uncle and all. Eventually I need to get back to Mali, so I think I'll make a trip of it. I'll start in Ireland and work my way south over a few months.
What are you doing?
Well while I'm home, I'm hoping to write a few bits of Newfoundlandia. Just because I don't want to be known as a Newfoundland writer doesn't mean I don't want to write about (or for) Newfoundland. I've got a dinner theater concept, so I'll probably bang that out and give it to someone before I take off again.
In Europe I'll be writing and traveling. Meeting people and having adventures. My wife will likely want to take advantage of the travel to meet with artist friends both old and new.
Once we get back to Mali it will be a few months in the desert with the salt caravans again. I first went with the caravan two years ago, and I feel like I would like to write an ethnography on these people and their nomadic culture, but I didn't get enough material on my first time around.
Who are you with?
My wife of six years now. She's the adventurous, artistic sort. Exactly the kind of woman I need.
Are you happier than you were in 2010?
Maybe no happier, but certainly more fulfilled. A few moderate successes have pushed me out of my laziness. It always threatens to creep back in, but my kindred spirit of a wife and our whirlwind lifestyle means I always have new ideas and fresh inspiration.
What did you think about 2012?
A fantastic year. I wish I had visited Central America like I had planned, but I'm pleased that I spent those months in Nepal instead. Perhaps it's for the best: I'm not sure how much of those 2012 wackos I could have put up with anyhow.
What will you be doing in 2025?
My wife and I are beginning to discuss settling down ... or at least slowing the whirlwind. We'll be searching for a city where we can both live and work for a reasonable wage, and raise a few children. We've discussed Beijing, but it doesn't seem like the safest option, and while we might readily find work as English teachers, that's not exactly what either of us want. Berlin and Moscow have both come up as well, so who knows? Perhaps by 2025 we'll have a child or two. Who can tell?
=====
*sigh* I hope ...
This was a really fun exercise, I must say. I am quite aware that my dreams are nigh unattainable, but some days I feel better about them than others.

Just Me
I'll turn 50 in 2020 and hopefully still with my actual girlfriend, probably even got married in this time.
I think I'll still be in this general area perhaps even the flat we moved in last year, though we were thinking to get our own place sometime.
I'll still have my current job I think (I'm an official and to kick me out I'd have to do some serious stuff wrong).
I should be over some financial shortages I hve now from time to time and we might travel more.
I don't know about being happier, but I take it I'll be more content and more relaxed.

Where are you this year?
I am sitting behind my desk at major crimes at K division headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, polishing my sergeants badge in my plain clothes as I no longer am required to wear a uniform.
What are you doing?
As above.
Who are you with?
My girlfriend, now hopefully my wife.
Are you happier than you were in 2010?
Fuck yes, out of this shit hole and back near my home.
What did you think about 2012?
It was a terrible movie.
What will you be doing in 2025?
Getting very near my retirement as a Staff Sergeant.

Where are you this year?
I'm in my own place, which I'm really happy with. It might be a house or a condo but it's hopefully close enough to the places I typically frequent so that I don't have to drive.
What are you doing?
Probably whatever just pays the bills, if I'm being honest. Hopefully there's fun things on the side like playing my cello or trombone, or doing some stand up or writing.
Who are you with?
Some fly honey. Applications are available on my website.
Are you happier than you were in 2010?
I think so. Not to say that I'm unhappy now but I think that I'll be pretty content with life in 10 years.
What did you think about 2012?
Kinda reminded me of Y2K. Most people were like 90% sure everything was going to be ok but there were some nutjobs running around stockpiling canned goods and ammo for when the shit hit the fan. I probably just made sure my car had a full tank of gas in case I had to escape said nutjobs.
What will you be doing in 2025?
Rollin down the street, smokin indo, sippin on gin and juice
Laid back [with my mind on my money and my money on my mind]
