I got a package in the mail today, a belated christmas present from a friend.

I open it to discover none other than Planescape Torment, jewel case and everything. He had apparantly found a seller on amazon for cheap.

I found some instructions online on how to set it up for modern computers, installed some bug fixes and a widescreen mod, and am now ready to play the game for the first time ever.

I have awesome friends.

That is awesome. Enjoy, PS:T is a great game. I've played through it at least 3 times myself. My last attempt was as a solo thief, previously I'd always played as a mage with a full party.

It is actually quite easy to find on the cheap now, due to a recent DVD re-release.

I played it a couple of weeks ago for the first time. The Sensoriums about halfway through the game blew my mind. "Longing" orb made Planescape Torment the fourth game to ever make me cry.

Yeah, this is the rerelease, but I didn't know it had been rereleased (finally) so it was still a great surprise.

I haven't even left the hive of sigil yet, and this ga,e already has some of the best writing and roleplaying I've ever seen.
