Dear person who is answering these today,
If you look at the history of baseball you can see that groups used to make their own amateur teams and leagues to play against each other much the way people play softball today.
So my question is as follows. What happened to amateur baseball that caused it to be replaced by softball? Little League, school ball and professional baseball is still very popular, so why has the adult amateur play moved on to softball?
